The University of Chicago men's tennis team captured its third national championship in five years, defeating second-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the final match held in Chattanooga, Tennessee. After overcoming third-ranked Tufts in a tense semifinal that included multiple weather delays, the top-ranked Maroons showcased resilience and skill to secure the title. This victory marks the 11th national championship in the program's history, solidifying its status as a powerhouse in collegiate tennis.
In women's tennis, a pair of standout performances highlighted the Individual National Championships. Biria advanced to the quarterfinals, while Zou earned All-America honors, showcasing the depth of talent within the program. Their achievements come as the team continues to build on its competitive legacy.
The University of Chicago women's lacrosse team celebrated two of its own being named All-Americans by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association. Wynne Boggan and Peyton McGuire received this prestigious recognition, underscoring their significant contributions to the team during the season.
On the track and field front, the women's team opened its NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships with a notable performance by Katja Dunayevich, who earned 2nd-Team All-America honors in the 10,000-meter run. Meanwhile, the men's team also made an impact, with Parker and Shrivastava bringing home All-America honors in the opening days of the championship meet. Both teams had previously excelled, with the women's outdoor track and field squad claiming 14 USTFCCCA All-Region honors and the men's team securing 16, reflecting a strong season for both programs as they competed at the national level.
