Wynne Boggan and Peyton McGuire Named IWLCA All-Americans

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -- The University of Chicago women's lacrosse team had a pair of student-athletes named All-Americans by the IWLCA, as announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association on Friday morning.

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -- The University of Chicago women's lacrosse team had a pair of student-athletes named All-Americans by the IWLCA, as announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association on Friday morning.

Wynne Boggan became the first player in University of Chicago history to earn 2nd-Team All-America honors. After earning 1st-Team All-Region honors, Boggan led the offense with 34 assists and 80 points, while pouring in 46 total goals this season. On the defensive end, the Phoenix, Maryland native picked up a team-high 76 draw controls and ranked second on the team with 34 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers for the Maroons. The junior economics major sits top five in school history in several career categories, including 3rd with 189 draw controls, 3rd with 72 assists, 4th with 111 goals, and 5th with 183 points. Boggan also became just the fourth player in UChicago history with 80 or more points in a season, and she finished the season ranked top ten in single-season goals, points, assists, and draw controls in 2026.

Peyton McGuire earned his second All-America honor of the season as the junior was named a 3rd-Team selection by the IWLCA. The 1st-Team All-Region selection led the UChicago offense with 62 goals in her junior season. The Little Silver, New Jersey native also added 17 assists for 79 total points on the season, and she picked up 26 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers on the defensive end. The junior biological sciences major became the third player in UChicago history to score 60 goals in a season, and she finished just one point shy of joining Boggan as the fifth player with 80 points in a season. In her career, McGuire ranks second in UChicago history with 162 career goals, and she became just the third player in program history to top the 200 career points mark.

The University of Chicago women's lacrosse team wrapped up its season with an 11-6 record overall after reahcing the Sectional Semifinals for the fourth time in program history. The Maroons fell to #2 Wesleyan (CT) 14-7 this past weekend in their second consecutive Sweet 16 defeat.
