Katja Dunayevich Earns 2nd-Team All-America Honors in 10000m Run
LA CROSSE, Wis. -- The University of Chicago women's track and field team opened their National Championship meet on Thursday with an All-America performances on day one of the championships.

Katja Dunayevich brought home the lone All-America performance of the meet as the freshman finished in 16th place in the 10000m Run with a time of 35:32.32. Dunayevich is the 74th All-American in UChicago Outdoor Women's Track & Field, and she extends the streak to four consecutive years with an All-American in the 10000m Run.
Estelle Snider also competed in the 10000m Run on Thursday night, and the senior earned a top-20 finish in the event. In the third National Championship appearance for the junior, Snider earned an 18th-place finish with a time of 35:57.66.
Emma Kelly also competed in the championships on Thursday as the senior just missed her fourth career All-America honor, finishing in 22nd place with a time of 4:39.33 in the 1500m Run.
