The Navy heavyweight rowing team enjoyed a successful showing at the 2026 IRA National Championship held at Lake Natoma, California, culminating in a pair of victories on Day 2. The first and third varsity eight boats both secured first-place finishes in their respective CD Semifinal races, while the second varsity eight finished third, advancing to the C Final. Earlier in the competition, the lightweight varsity four crew ranked eighth nationally after finishing second in the petite final. Additionally, the lightweight second varsity eight advanced to the grand final, showcasing the depth of talent within the Navy rowing program.
In track and field, the Navy women's team concluded its season at the NCAA First Round in Lexington, Kentucky. The highlight of the week came from Brian Schloeder, who set a school record in the pole vault, earning his place at the NCAA Outdoor Championship. The men's track and field team also competed at the same event, marking the end of their season with several strong performances.
The Navy women's lacrosse team finished the season ranked in the top 10 in all three final national polls, landing at #8 in the IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll and #7 in the Inside Lacrosse KANE Media Poll. This marks a significant achievement for the program, which has been consistently recognized among the nation's elite, finishing the season with a notable ranking after a strong campaign.
In football, the Midshipmen continue preparations for the upcoming season, with media coverage focusing on players like sophomore striker Brandon Ihle and senior guard Hoke Smith II.
