Dartmouth's sailing team capped off a successful season by finishing fifth at the Intercollegiate Sailing Association's (ICSA) Open Fleet Race National Championship held in Tampa, Florida. After starting the championship in ninth place, the Big Green advanced through the rounds, ultimately accumulating 225 points to secure their top-five finish. Earlier in the week, the team had advanced from the Eastern Semifinal, where they finished sixth overall, showcasing their competitive spirit and skill under challenging conditions.
In women's rowing, Áine Ley and Caroline Phipps earned All-Ivy honors, with Ley being named to the First Team and also receiving Academic All-Ivy recognition. This marks Ley's third consecutive year as an All-Ivy selection, a testament to her contributions in the varsity eight, where she rowed in the fourth seat at the Ivy League Championship. The team finished fourth overall at the championship, improving from fifth place last year and marking their best performance in the NCAA era.
On the track, five Dartmouth student-athletes have qualified for the NCAA First Round Regional at the University of Kentucky, reflecting the program's growing strength in competitive athletics. This achievement highlights the dedication and talent of the athletes as they prepare for the upcoming regional meet.
In baseball, a recent feature in The Wall Street Journal highlighted a standout player from Dartmouth, noting his impressive performance that has him out-hitting even Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees. This recognition underscores the rising profile of Dartmouth baseball within the Ivy League and beyond.
