NESCAC Spring All-Academic and All-Sportsmanship Teams Announced

The Wesleyan University spring season varsity teams put a total of 192 student-athletes on the 2026 NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team. Tufts ranks first in the conference with 231 student-athletes on the All-Academic list, while Williams is second with 209. Wesleyan's 192 selections are the fourth-most in the league and the highest single-season total of NESCAC All-Academic honorees in school history. The NESCAC as a whole set a conference record with 1,800-plus All-Academic selections.

Lindsey Diomede Earns Second Straight National Defensive Player of the Week Honor

Senior defensive midfielder Lindsey Diomede '26 of the Wesleyan women's lacrosse team earned her second straight IWLCA National Division III Defensive Player of the Week honor, as announced by the association on Tuesday afternoon. The IWLCA has awarded two National Defensive Player of the Week honors during the NCAA Tournament and Diomede has earned both weekly honors.

The No. 12 Wesleyan men's lacrosse team had their hands full with a red hot No. 1 Tufts squad as the Jumbos led 11-3 after the first quarter and ultimately closed out a 23-7 win on Bello Field in the NCAA Semifinal round. The Cardinals (14-5) complete their 2026 season having made it back to the Final Four for the fifth time in team history and first since 2018.
