ANNAPOLIS, Md.- Alexandra Lea, at last year's Patriot League Outdoor Championships, surprised the conference by winning two gold medals in the 200 and 400-meter dashes. This season, she had the target on her back. The opposition fired their best shots but the Bison sophomore defied their bullets and repeated as league champion in both events. Her performance keyed the Orange & Blue to a fourth place finish and 115.25 points scored at the 2026 Patriot League Outdoor Championships. Army edged Navy for first place and Boston rounded the top three.

ANNAPOLIS, Md.- Bucknell men's track & field scored 99.5 points to finish third for its best placement in the Patriot League Outdoor Championships since 2021 when the Bison also slotted third. The Bison collected several medals, headlined by Wade Shomper's second straight outdoor shot put title, to break up the Army, Boston, and Navy triumvirate that has dominated Patriot League track & field in recent years. Navy repeated as champions for the 12th straight year and Army, again, proved the bridesmaid.

ANNAPOLIS, Md.- US National Champion Evelyn Bliss earned her fifth facility and meet record of the 2026 season on Friday at the first day of the Patriot League Outdoor Championships. Her gold medal victory powered Bucknell to 37 points and fourth place after one day of competition. Sophomore sprinter Alexandra Lea also set the facility record in the 400-meter dash, as part of the Bison's record setting day.

ANNAPOLIS, Md.- Aiden Tacker completed his journey from walk-on to league champion on Friday by winning the hammer throw. The Bison senior ended his collegiate tenure on the highest of notes, as Bucknell sits fourth with 23 points after the first day of the Patriot League Outdoor Championships.

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell track & field teams travel to the U.S. Naval Academy this weekend for the 2026 Patriot League Outdoor Championships. Both the Bison men and women placed fourth in 2025 and are looking to crash the Army, Boston, and Navy party that has occupied the top three positions in recent years. Bucknell structures its program for the outdoor season and the Bison have been excellent in this outdoor campaign with key performances at the Colonial Relays, Bison Outdoor Classic, ECAC/IC4A Championships, and the Penn Relays. Several Orange & Blue athletes will conclude their careers or make a push for top 48 in the NCAA East rankings. The championships (track events only) will be streamed on ESPN+.
