Women's Track & Field Finishes Season with Four Top-5 Finishes at Augustana

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- The University of Chicago women's track & field team wrapped up the final meet of the regular season with four top-5 finishes at the Midwest Twilight Final Qualifier at Augustana (IL).

Maddie Lyons put up the top performance of the meet for the Maroons as she finished in fourth place in the 100m Dash. After running a 12.11 in prelims, Lyons ran a career-best time of 12.08 in the finals which ranks third all-time in UChicago history.

Selah Dungey also tallied a fourth-place finish in the meet as she cleared a jump of 1.61 meters in the High Jump to earn one of the top finishes of the meet for the Maroons.

Rachel Singer found her way into the UChicago record book on Wednesday with the best performance of the day. She earned a top-5 finish with a time of 2:12.95 that ranks 7th in UChicago history.

Yichen Ding joined Singer in the top-5 on Wednesday as she finished fifth in the Javelin Throw with a mark of 35.75 meters.

The Maroons wrapped up their regular season with that meet, and the team will now await to see which individuals qualify for the 2026 Outdoor Track & Field National Championships from May 21-23 at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
