Grantcharov and Meyer Win Major Awards to Highlight Order of the C Banquet
CHICAGO -- The Order of the C presented the Amos Alonzo Stagg Medal to Emil Grantcharov on Monday night to highlight the 2026 Order of the C Banquet at the Ratner Athletic Center.

The Stagg Medal Award, presented to the senior male athlete with the best all-around record for athletics, scholarship, and character, has been presented to outstanding Maroon student-athletes since 1947.
Emil Grantcharov is a 3-time ITA All-American and a 2nd-Team Academic All-American, and he helped lead the Maroons to their third National Championship in the past five seasons in men's tennis. The three-time National Qualfier won the deciding match in the 2026 National Championship match, taking down #2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps with a 4-3 victory. The 4-time All-UAA selection was also named the UAA Player of the Year in 2024, and he won the ITA Central Region Doubles Championship in 2024.
The Order of the C also awarded the Mary Jean Mulvaney Scholar-Athlete Award. The award is presented to the male and female senior with the highest GPA during their junior and senior years. The student must be a four-year participant who has won at least three Major "C" awards. Transfer students who have competed for three years and have earned at least three Major "C" awards are also eligible.
The 2026 Mary Jean Mulvaney Scholar-Athlete Award recipient was Zach Meyer. Meyer is 4-time Academic All-Midwest Conference selection, and he led the defense as a senior captain on the gridiron. Meyer earned 3rd-Team All-Region and 1st-Team All-MWC honors after leading the team with 6.5 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks while adding 37 total tackles and 5 quarterback hurries on the outside of the defensive line. Meyer was also named a CSC Academic All-District selection and earned a spot on the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society.
In addition to the two main awards, each individual team gave out their Team MVP award and a few other sport-specific awards. Those winners of those awards are listed below.
