WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point Director of Athletics Tom Theodorakis announced Monday that Brandt Nigro, Director of Swimming and Diving, has accepted a position at the University of Texas.

WEST POINT, N.Y.– Army West Point Director of Athletics Tom Theodorakis announced Monday that
Brandt Nigro, Director of Swimming and Diving, has accepted a position at the University of Texas.
Kelly Lennonhas been named interim head coach.

"Brandt elevated the program's national profile, creating a culture defined by higher standards and expectations. On behalf of Army Athletics, we thank Brandt for his commitment to excellence and wish him the best in the next chapter of his career."

It has been my great honor to lead Army Swimming & Diving through so many incredible moments and to work with such dedicated cadet-athletes. Together, we achieved NCAA appearances, conference championships, and much more," said Nigro. "I will be proud of the progress and success we achieved as a program for the rest of my life. Army West Point has engaged CSA (
CSA Search & Consulting) to conduct a national search to find the next leader of the men's and women's swimming and diving program. The leader will support the Army West Point athletics mission "to recruit, educate, train, and inspire leaders of character who are committed to the Army Values through an extraordinary Division I athletics experience."
