Women's Golf Finishes Second by One Stroke at SCIAC No. 2
BEAUMONT, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's golf team finished second by one stroke at SCIAC No. 2 on Friday and Saturday at the Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon.
BEAUMONT, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's golf team finished second by one stroke at SCIAC No. 2 on Friday and Saturday at the Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon.
The tournament was played in windy conditions on both days, which drove scores high, as Pomona-Pitzer finished at +76 and CMS at +77. Redlands was third at +83.
Ella Chiu was the top individual finisher for CMS in fourth place with a +19, including a strong 77 on Saturday that moved her up 13 spots on the individual leaderboard.
Alisa Ching was also in the top 10, coming in sixth after moving up nine spots with a 79 on Saturday.
Esther Lee shot even par on Friday, but did not score on Saturday.
Jessie Kong also had a 79 on Friday playing as an independent.
CMS will next be in action with its full team for the SCIAC Championships from April 23-25. Select golfers will attend the Pahhni Invitational in Ohio on April 19-20.
