#21 Women's Lacrosse Places Four on IWLCA Great Lakes All-Region Team

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -- The University of Chicago women's lacrosse team placed four student-athletes on the IWLCA All-Region teams, as announced by the student-athletes on the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association on Friday afternoon.

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -- The University of Chicago women's lacrosse team had four student-athletes earn 1st-Team All-Region selections from the IWLCA, as announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association on Friday afternoon.

Wynne Boggan earned 1st-Team All-Region honors after being the jack of all trades for the Maroons, making plays all over the field. Boggan led the offense with 33 assists and 78 points, while pouring in 45 total goals this season. On the defensive end, the Phoenix, Maryland native picked up a team-high 71 draw controls and ranked second on the team with 32 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers for the Maroons. The junior economics major sits top five in school history in several career categories, including 3rd with 184 draw controls, 3rd with 71 assists, 4th with 110 goals, and 5th with 181 points. Boggan is two points from becoming just the fourth player in UChicago history with 80 or more points in a season, and she ranks top ten in single-season goals, points, assists, and draw controls in 2026.

Kali Konstantinakos brought home a 1st-Team All-Region selection after being one of the top defensive players in the Midwest this season. The Massapequa Park, New York native led the stout UChicago defense with 33 ground balls and 24 caused turnovers. The senior public policy studies and biological sciences double major shattered the UChicago career record for caused turnovers with 101, topping the previous mark by 27, and she ranks fourth in UChicago history with 117 ground balls picked up in her career.

Peyton McGuire earned a spot on the 1st-Team All-Region list after leading the UChicago offense with 58 goals in her junior season. The Little Silver, New Jersey native also added 17 assists for 75 total points on the season, and she picked up 25 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers on the defensive end. The junior biological sciences major is just two goals away from becoming the third player in UChicago history to score 60 goals in a season, and she is five points from being the fourth player with 80 points in a season. In her career, McGuire ranks second in UChicago history with 158 career goals, and she became just the third player in program history to top the 200 career points mark.

Avery Song added the final 1st-Team All-Region honor after a career year for the senior on the offensive attack. The Montclair, New Jersey native was the third part of the three-headed monster for the UChicago attack, tallying 39 goals and 24 assists for 63 total points this season. The senior neuroscience and comparative human development double major ranks top ten in single-season history with a career-high 63 points. Song also ranks top ten in several career offensive categories, sitting 7th with 90 goals, 7th with 50 assists, and 8th with 140 points.

The University of Chicago women's lacrosse team will return to action this weekend as the Maroons travel to Middletown, Connecticut, for a Sweet 16 matchup with #2 Wesleyan (CT). The game is scheduled for 11:30 AM ET on Saturday.
