#17 Men's Track & Field to Send Four to NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships

CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago men's outdoor track and field team earned five selections to the 2026 Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, as released by the National Collegiate Athletic Association on Friday evening.

CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago men's outdoor track and field team earned five selections to the 2026 Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, as released by the National Collegiate Athletic Association on Friday evening.

The five qualifiers for the Maroons as the tied for the second-most in UChicago history during the outdoor track and field season, trailing only the top mark of six in 2021. This brings the number of NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Division III National Championship qualifiers up to 62 all-time for the Maroons.

Aryan Shrivastava will lead the Maroons into the National Championships in two events as the senior jumper qualified for both the High Jump and Triple Jump events. The Irvine, California native will enter as the #3 seed in the Triple Jump and the #11 seed in the High Jump. Shrivastava is a 3-time All-American with a 6th-place finish in the Indoor Triple Jump and a 9th-place finish in the Indoor High Jump, and he also placed 7th in the Outdoor Triple Jump in 2025 for his lone outdoor All-America selection. Shrivastava is the fifth UChicago athlete to qualify for the Outdoor National Championships in the Triple Jump, and he joins Adeoye Mabogunje as the two Maroons to earn a nationals berth in the High Jump.

William Floyd will be making his second appearance in the National Championships in his after the junior earned 1st-Team All-America honors in the indoor season with a 6th-place finish in the Pole Vault. The Menlo Park, California native broke the UChicago school record in the last chance meets as he cleared a mark of 5.11 meters to qualify for nationals as the #7 overall seed. Brandon Shin, Nathan Downey, and Michael Bennett as the fourth Maroon to earn a selection to the National Championships in the Outdoor Pole Vault.

Oluwaseyi Kadiri will make his first career appearance in the National Championships in the final season of competition for the senior philosophy major. The Lynn, Massachusetts native enters the meet as the #21 overall seed in the event after leaping to a career-best mark of 14.65 meters in the penultimate last chance meet of the season. Kadiri joins Shrivastava as the fifth and sixth UChicago athletes to qualify for the Outdoor National Championships in the Triple Jump, and he will look to become just the 19th All-American in UChicago history and the fourth in the Outdoor Triple Jump.

Evan Parker earned his second career National Championship berth in the 10000m Run after the freshman earned 2nd-Team All-America honors during the indoor season with a 16th-place finish. The Skokie, Illinois native will enter the meet as the #17 overall seed in the event as he looks to bring home the second All-America award of his career. Parker joins an extensive list of six UChicago Maroons to qualify for the National Championships in the Outdoor 10,000m Run, but he is the first since 2022 to qualify.

The four Maroons will head to La Crosse, Wisconsin to represent the University of Chicago at the Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, beginning on Thursday, May 21.
