The Yale heavyweight crew team made a strong showing at the 123rd Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championships in Gold River, California, achieving three top-10 finishes. All three boats advanced from Friday's heats to the A/B semifinals on Saturday, with the third varsity crew securing a spot in Sunday’s grand finals. Meanwhile, the lightweight crew capped its IRA competition with a win in the petite final, as the first varsity eight finished seventh overall and the second varsity eight placed eighth.
The Yale women's crew team concluded its season at the NCAA Championship in Gainesville, Georgia, finishing fifth in the varsity eight and sixth in the second varsity eight, both competing in their respective grand finals. The varsity four also performed well, placing eighth nationally after a strong second-place finish in the petite final. The Bulldogs demonstrated depth and competitiveness throughout the championship weekend.
In track and field, Yale athletes faced tough competition at the NCAA East First Round in Lexington, Kentucky. First-year Phoebe Benun and sophomore Zoe Martonfi represented the women's team in the 3000m steeplechase, with Martonfi finishing 34th and Benun 40th. On the men's side, senior Owen Karas competed in the 5K, while junior Nathan Lebowitz participated in the discus event, both seeking to qualify for the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, later this month.
The Yale baseball team concluded its 2026 season at the NCAA Eugene Regionals, where it was eliminated after two losses to Oregon and Oregon State. The Bulldogs fell 14-2 to top-seeded Oregon in their opening game before being defeated 9-2 by second-seeded Oregon State, ending a promising campaign.
In golf, Will Lodge earned recognition as a member of the 2026 Division I PING All-Northeast Region Team, highlighting his successful season and contributions to the Bulldogs.
