The Babson College athletic department had a week of academic accolades as several teams were recognized for their scholastic achievements in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Academic All-Conference honors.
The women's basketball team saw five of its members earn academic recognition. Senior Chloe Perreault, a consistent presence on the Academic All-Conference team, was honored for the third consecutive year. She was joined by sophomores Brooke Canty, Mary Kate Flynn, Madison Hart, and Rylie Rosenberg, who each received their first academic accolades. This recognition underscores the team's dedication to excellence both on the court and in the classroom.
On the men's basketball side, sophomore Gavin Aydelotte was the lone representative for Babson, earning a spot on the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference team. Aydelotte, a business major, contributed on the court before an injury curtailed his season, showcasing his dual commitment to academics and athletics.
In swimming and diving, the men's team had an impressive nine athletes named to the Academic All-Conference team. This group included senior Zackary Cheung and juniors David Krol, Anthony Taslakov, and Jason Zeliph, alongside sophomores Thomas Ambelang and Ilaan Garware, among others. Their recognition reflects the program's strong emphasis on academic performance.
The women's swimming and diving team also celebrated academic success with four athletes earning NEWMAC honors. Senior Vangella Randell, recognized for the third time, led the group, which included junior Sylvie Racicot and sophomores Hailey Cronan and Samantha Gilbert. Their achievements highlight the team's commitment to maintaining high academic standards.
