Wesleyan wrestler Hayden Myers '26 achieved a significant milestone at the NCAA Division III Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, by earning All-American honors with a fifth-place finish in the 141-pound category. Myers becomes the 10th All-American in Wesleyan wrestling history and marks the first time the program has produced an All-American in consecutive seasons. His journey included a decisive 7-1 victory over Dresden Grimm of Coe in the opening round, followed by a challenging loss to Mark Samuel of Roanoke. Myers secured his All-American status by defeating Skyler Hickman of Washington & Lee, showcasing resilience with a late takedown to clinch the match.
The Wesleyan men's basketball team saw its season come to an end with a Sweet 16 loss to No. 12 Tufts, 75-61, in the NCAA Tournament. Despite trailing by 22 points at halftime, the Cardinals mounted a spirited comeback, narrowing the gap to four points with less than nine minutes remaining. Freshman Ben Lyttle '27 played a pivotal role in the second-half surge, scoring eight points in the opening minutes of the period. However, the early deficit proved insurmountable, and Wesleyan concluded its season with a 23-7 record, marking its second Sweet 16 appearance in program history.
In women's track and field, Juliette Sullivan '27 represented Wesleyan at the NCAA Division III Championships in Birmingham, Alabama, competing in the 200-meter event. Sullivan, who dominated the sprint events during the indoor season, finished 18th with a time of 25.07 seconds in the preliminary round. This appearance marked the first time since 2023 that Wesleyan participated in the national indoor championships. The Cardinals are set to begin their outdoor season on March 21, hosting the J. Elmer Swanson Spring Classic.
