The Yale women's ice hockey team concluded a remarkable season with a deep run in the NCAA Tournament, reaching the Regional Finals before falling to top-seeded Ohio State. The Bulldogs earned their place in the finals with a 1-0 victory over Minnesota Duluth in the Regional Semifinals, highlighted by a 37-save shutout from first-year goaltender Samson Frey and a decisive second-period goal by Molly Boyle. However, their campaign ended with a 6-1 defeat to the Buckeyes, despite Frey's 43 saves and a goal from Boyle. Yale finishes the season with a 26-10 record, having also been ECAC Hockey Co-Regular Season Champions.
In men's golf, Matthew Lin delivered an outstanding individual performance at the Schenkel Invitational in Statesboro, Georgia. Lin claimed medalist honors with a three-round total of 203, finishing 13-under par. His consistent play, marked by rounds of 68, 66, and 69, led the field with 19 birdies and an impressive par-4 scoring mark. This victory marks Lin's second collegiate tournament title, a testament to his growing prowess on the course.
On the women's side, Mia Sessa shone at the Valspar Augusta Invitational, finishing second in front of a hometown crowd. Sessa's consistent play, with rounds of 72, 70, and a final round 68, propelled her to the runner-up spot. The Bulldogs finished tied for ninth in the 17-team field. The women's golf team will next compete at the Terps Invitational in College Park, Maryland, on April 5-6.
