The Wesleyan men's ice hockey team concluded its regular season with a notable split against Trinity College. The Cardinals secured a thrilling 3-1 victory at home on Friday night, a game that marked the 200th career win for head coach Chris Potter. Alternate captain Hayden Hanes '27 played a pivotal role, contributing two points to the win at Spurrier-Snyder Arena. However, the momentum did not carry over to Saturday, when Wesleyan fell 6-2 in Hartford, ending the regular season with a split series against their NESCAC rivals.
Meanwhile, the Wesleyan women's ice hockey team also faced Trinity in their regular season finale. On Friday, the Cardinals were shut out 2-0 in their final road game. Yet, they rebounded impressively on Saturday, securing a 3-1 victory at home on Senior Day. Dylan Green and Lilly Place '29 were instrumental in the win, each contributing to all three goals scored by Wesleyan. The victory provided a fitting send-off for the seniors, wrapping up their regular season on a high note.
