Advik Mareedu of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's tennis team has advanced to the NCAA Division III singles championship after defeating Mark Kneiss of Bowdoin, 6-4, 6-2, in the semifinals. This victory marks Mareedu's 42nd win of the season, breaking his own program record for most wins in a single season. With a remarkable 42-2 record this year, he heads into the finals against Michael Melnikov of Swarthmore, who reached the final after defeating Andreas Sillaste. Mareedu's performance has been characterized by his strong serving and tactical play, particularly evident in his semifinal match where he never lost his serve.
In women's lacrosse, Julia Ryan earned second-team All-America honors from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), highlighting a successful season for the Athenas. Ryan, a draw specialist, led the nation with 352 draw controls, breaking the NCAA all-divisions record and setting her sights on surpassing 1,000 career draw controls next season. Additionally, five other Athenas were recognized on the All-West Region team, including Cate Lewison and Amelia Ulmer, while Lyla Johnston, Grace McCarthy, and Grace Hennelly received second-team honors.
The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's track and field team saw 14 athletes named to the USTFCCCA All-Region teams, with Hayden Beauchemin leading the way by earning honors in three events: the 1500 meters, 5000 meters, and steeplechase. Jacob Pippel also stood out, securing All-Region recognition in two events, while several teammates contributed to the successful season, including Jaden Rattay and Oliver Thompson in the 400 meters and 4x400 relay.
On the women's side, the Athenas track and field team had 18 athletes earn All-Region honors, with Josephine Jett leading with accolades in four events. Riley Capuano and others also made significant contributions across multiple disciplines, showcasing the depth of talent within the program.
In baseball, Alex Henderson was named the Region X Player of the Year by the American Baseball Coaches Association and D3baseball.com. Henderson's standout season included selections to the All-Region X First Team alongside teammates Bryce Didrickson, Dillon Martin, and Carter Bennett. Max Pemberton and Rider Gordon received second-team honors, reflecting the overall strength of the Stags' roster this season.
