Bates College women's lacrosse senior midfielder Caroline Keating has made her mark as the first Bobcat in a decade to be named an IWLCA All-American, earning third team honors. This recognition underscores her pivotal role in the team's success and her individual contributions throughout the season. Keating's achievement adds to the legacy of Bates lacrosse, showcasing the program's growth and competitiveness on a national level.
In track and field, first-year athlete Alisandra Lindos represented Bates at the NCAA Championships, where she placed 15th in the outdoor triple jump, earning second team All-America honors. This impressive debut at the national level highlights her potential for future success. Senior captain Ross Tejeda also competed at the championships, finishing 17th in the men's 1,500 meters, demonstrating the depth and talent of the Bates track program.
Additionally, the Bates women's outdoor track and field team saw 16 athletes recognized with All-East Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, while the men's team had 11 athletes earn similar accolades. These honors reflect the overall strength and performance of both teams throughout the season, marking a successful year for Bates athletics.
