Amherst College junior Michael Abbey Jr. made history at the 2026 NCAA Division III Championships by becoming the first athlete in the program's history to leap over 15 meters in the triple jump, finishing sixth overall in the event. His performance capped a strong showing for the men's track and field team, which also saw the 4x100 meter relay team set a new school record and advance to the finals. Junior Heloise Hughes and senior Myeh Medina also made their mark, with Medina advancing to the finals of the 400 hurdles, while Hughes placed 14th in the long jump.
In men's tennis, junior Andreas Sillaste had a notable debut at the NCAA Championships, winning two matches to reach the quarterfinals. He defeated third-seeded Ruilin Feng in the round of 32 and then overcame Theo Billson of Wisconsin-Whitewater in the round of 16. Sillaste will face Carnegie Mellon's Alex Feies in the next round. Meanwhile, Tina She concluded her impressive season with a hard-fought loss in the round of 32, falling to Clara Zou of Chicago after a nearly three-hour match, finishing her year with a 24–5 record.
The women's lacrosse team celebrated individual accolades as senior captain Emily Petersen and junior Mia Raven earned All-America honors from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association, with Petersen named to the First Team and Raven to the Second Team. In women's golf, the Mammoths finished the NCAA Division III Women's Golf National Championship in seventh place after a strong final round. The team, led by sophomore Mekhala Costello, who shot even par, concluded a competitive tournament at the Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, California. Costello's consistent performance throughout the championship highlighted the team's overall effort, as they finished with a total score of +46 over four rounds.
