MIDDLEBURY, VT. –Two goals from Emily Petersen in the final minute of play were not enough as No. 8 Amherst women's lacrosse bowed out of the NCAA Tournament in the Third Round on Saturday, May 16. After receiving an 11-8 comeback win over No. 24 Stevens in the Second Round of the tournament, the Mammoths traveled to Middlebury Vt., to take on NJAC Champion No. 10 TCNJ. A slow start to the third doomed Amherst, they were unable to complete a four-goal comeback late and fell to the Lions 11-9.

MIDDLEBURY, VT. – The No. 8 Amherst women's lacrosse team continues its NCAA Tournament run this weekend, traveling to Middlebury, Vt. for the next rounds of the tournament. After making their first Sweet Sixteen since 2019 with an 11-8 comeback win over Stevens on Sunday, the Mammoths will take on the NJAC Champion, No. 10-ranked TCNJ. The game is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 16.

AMHERST, MA. – Five members of the Amherst College women's lacrosse team were accorded Intercolligiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Berkshire Region honors when they were announced today. Senior attackers Emily Petersen (Mountain Lakes, N.J.) and Kate Becker (Princeton, N.J.) and junior midfielder Mia Raven (Philadelphia, Pa.) were named to the First Team; senior attacker Bridget Finley (Bronxville, N.Y.) and first year defender Jordan Kauftheil (South Salem, N.Y.) were selected to the Second Team.

AMHERST, MA. – Six athletes on various teams were given awards at the College's end-of-year ceremonies, being recognized by the Athletic Department for their contributions on and off the field during their careers. This year's winners are: seniors Natalie Stott (women's ice hockey), Annie McCarthy (women's basketball, women's lacrosse), Sofia Guttmann (women's lacrosse), Ben Davis (Men's Track and Field and Cross Country), and Joline Fong (women's swim and dive), and first year K.J. Neville (men's basketball).

HADLEY, MA. – First Year Saahi Jetti (Des Moines, Iowa) was named NESCAC Co-Rookie of the Year as five members of the Amherst College baseball team were given All-NESCAC honors when they were announced today. Jetti earned a First Team selection in addition to his Rookie of the Year award, and he is joined on the First Team by senior infielder Tyler McCord (Langhorne, Pa.) and junior outfielder Charlie LaFreniere (Norwalk, Conn.). Sophomore infielder Aiden Dubetsky (Frederick, Md.) and senior pitcher Naaveen Narayanan (Malvern, Pa.) were tabbed All-NESCAC Second Team.
