The Bulldogs had a historic season, culminating in a second consecutive Ivy League regular season championship. Yale has earned the right to host the conference tournament this weekend.
Evans had an outstanding season on the mound for the Bulldogs as both a starting pitcher and a reliever. The Texas native tied for the league lead with six wins and ranked among the top seven in innings pitched (54.2), strikeouts (49) and batting average against (.198) in conference play. Evans also picked up two saves in relief. In addition to his on-field success, Evans was named Yale's Academic All-Ivy honoree for his work in the classroom. Evans is the second straight Yale pitcher to win Pitcher of the Year honors after teammate Jack Ohman earned the distinction last season.
Larsen earned a spot on the All-Ivy First Team after establishing himself as one of the best players in the league during his junior campaign. Larsen finished the regular season with a .379 batting average, two home runs, 29 RBIs and a .467 on-base percentage. He also stole 25 bases.
Dossa earned second-team honors for the second straight season. The Bulldogs' center fielder was a catalyst at the top of the order, hitting .329 with six home runs and 38 RBIs. He posted an outstanding .981 OPS while stealing a team-high 26 bases.
Dauer was a force in the middle of the order as the team's starting third baseman. The sophomore hit five home runs and drove in a team-leading 45 RBIs. Through two years, Dauer is a two-time all-conference honoree.
DiPrima had an excellent year as a super utility player. The junior played both the infield and outfield while serving as a steady force in the middle of the lineup. DiPrima hit .344 with 36 RBIs.
Cohen earned All-Ivy honors for the second consecutive year as a reliable starting pitcher for the Bulldogs. Cohen picked up four conference wins, including a complete-game shutout against Penn. He also won the regular-season clinching game, tossing nine innings of one-run ball.
The Bulldogs will begin the Ivy League Tournament at home on Friday, May 15, at 12 p.m. against Columbia.
