No. 7 WashU Golf Moves Up to 7th After Day Two of NCAA Championships

PALM DESERT, Calif. – The No. 7 Washington University in St. Louis golf team moved up three spots to seventh following the second day of the NCAA Championships after carding a 290 on day two for a total score of 594. The championship is being held at the Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, Calif.

PALM DESERT, Calif. – The No. 7 Washington University in St. Louis golf team moved up three spots to seventh following the second day of the NCAA Championships after carding a 290 on day two for a total score of 594. The championship is being held at the Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, Calif.

Competition is being held on two courses: Firecliff which is a par 72 course that spans 7,056 yards and Mountain View which is a par 72 course that spans 6,913 yards.

The Bears competed at the Firecliff course on day two.

First-year

Jessy Young and junior

Amy Beanblossom both moved up eight spots and are in a seven-way tie for 18

th with a 146 (74, 72).

First-year

Saxon Skinner moved up 58 spots and is tied for 44

th with a 151 (81, 70).

Junior

Nicole McGuire is tied for 60

th with a 153 (77, 76) and senior

Athena Nguyen moved up nine spots and is tied for 75

th with a 155 (79, 76).

The top 15 teams continue competition tomorrow. Action tees off for day three beginning at 9 a.m. PT.
