The New York University men's track and field team closed out its week at the NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships on Saturday. The three-day meet was hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

With an All-American run in the men's 5000m final, the Violets finished in 34th place out of 75 scoring teams with six points. Hosts Wisconsin-La Crosse won the 2026 National Championship.

Theodore Udelson-Nee scored the top finish of the weekend for NYU, running in the final individual race of the weekend - the men's 5,000m final. Udelson-Nee matched his finish at the Indoor National Championships, taking third in 14:05.74.

The third-place finish is the highest of any freshman and one of the only two in the top ten.

NYU's 34th-place finish is the program's highest in 21 seasons, capping off a record-breaking year for the team.
