**PROVIDENCE, R.I. - **With the regular season and Ivy League Championship in the rearview mirror, the No. 9 women's crew team will travel to Gainesville, Ga. for the 2026 NCAA DI Rowing Championships. The regatta is scheduled to begin on Friday, May 29 and goes through Sunday, May 31.

The Bears head to The Peach State as one of the twelve at-large selections in the field, extending their all-time record of consecutive NCAA appearances to 29. Entering competition with an all-time record of seven national championships, the Bears will look to bring home the program's first national title since the 2011 season.

Brown performed well at last year's NCAA Championship in West Windsor, N.J., picking up a sixth place finish in the V8 Grand Final, a second place finish in the 2V8 Petite Final, and a third place finish in the A4 Petite Final.

The regular season helped establish the Bears as one of the premier programs in the sport, picking up victories against No. 17 Columbia, No. 21 Dartmouth, Boston University, and Cornell. At the Ivy Invitational in April, the Varsity Eight defeated No. 6 Virginia and No. 10 Rutgers. The Second Varsity also defeated Virginia and Rutgers in their morning race, while also earning a victory against No. 11 Syracuse later in the day. The A4 and B4 crews also defeated Syracuse in their afternoon races.

At the 2026 Women's Sprints, the V8 and 2V8 both won their heats and Grand Finals at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. This marked the twelfth Varsity Eight championship at the Sprints for Brown, while the Bears also won the overall team points trophy for the fifteenth time in program history.

The 2026 Ivy Championships saw all five Brown crews qualify for their respective Grand Finals, with the Varsity Eight earning a bronze medal in their event. Brown as a program came in third in total team points, while the Third Varsity had the best finish of the day for the Bears, taking home a gold medal in their Grand Final.

These strong performances throughout their spring schedule resulted in several members of the BWC program earning All-Ivy honors. Mary Claire Warren received a First Team All-Ivy nod, while her teammates Sadie Bell and Holly Crews were awarded Second Team All-Ivy honors. All three athletes have been mainstays in this year's Varsity Eight boat.
