Eight MIT student-athletes have been named to the NEWMAC Sportsmanship Team for the 2026 spring season. The honorees, selected by their coaching staff, have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior that go beyond the sport's playing rules and etiquette.

WESTWOOD, Mass. – Eight MIT student-athletes have been named to the NEWMAC Spring Sportsmanship Team for the 2026 spring season. The honorees, selected by their coaching staff, have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior that go beyond the sport's playing rules and etiquette.

The NEWMAC Sportsmanship Team is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each team, in every sport, that best demonstrates the ideals of the NEWMAC and its Code of Conduct, regardless of their overall performance or statistics for the season. The spring sportsmanship team is comprised of 79 student-athletes in the sports of men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track & field, baseball, softball and rowing.
