Dominguez, Zhang Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

May 26, 2026 | Softball

For the second consecutive year, Princeton juniors Graciela Dominguez and Sonia Zhang have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, the organization announced.

The honor recognizes student-athletes for their combined achievements in the classroom and in competition.

Dominguez and Zhang helped Princeton win a fifth straight Ivy League title in 2026. For the second time in their three seasons with the program, the Tigers added the Ivy League Tournament title and an NCAA regional appearance, including an NCAA regional win.

Dominguez, a first-team All-Ivy League selection in 2026, hit .427, the fourth-best single-season batting average in Princeton history. She also had 70 hits, fifth-most in a season in program history, while helping Princeton set a team single-season record with a .347 batting average.

Zhang earned first-team All-Ivy League honors for the third straight season and finished in the Ivy League's top 10 in five statistical categories. She led the league with 168 at-bats, ranked second with five triples, ninth with 33 RBI, tied for eighth with 38 runs scored, and ranked eighth with nine stolen bases.

The academic accolade is the latest in a string of honors for both players. Dominguez, a sociology major, and Zhang, a student in the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, also earned CSC Academic All-District honors in 2025, their first year of eligibility as sophomores. Both have earned Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors in each of their first two seasons, and Zhang was Princeton's Academic All-Ivy honoree in 2026.
