AJ Marsh Earns USILA Honorable Mention All-America Recognition for a Second-Consecutive Year

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Three-time All-Patriot League defenseman

AJ Marsh (Jr / Reisterstown, Md.) was among the 100 Div. I student-athletes to garner All-America recognition, it was announced by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) on Thursday afternoon. Navy has now secured an All-American in 100 of the 104 years in which the awards have been handed out, earning a combined 444 citations by 281 different players.

The two-time USILA Honorable Mention All-American served as the veteran member of Navy's defensive unit this season that allowed 12.57 goals per game and held three teams - Iona, Jacksonville and Lafayette - to single digits. The three-year starter spearheaded a defensive effort that tamed the nation's eighth-ranked scoring offense (Jacksonville / 14.33 GPG) and held the Dolphins to single digits for the first time since 2025. Marsh played a pivotal role in Navy holding #11 Penn State to its fewest goals (11) since since its NCAA Tournament loss to Georgetown last spring and well under its 14.67 scoring average going into the game against the Mids. Specifically, Marsh held reigning Big Ten Rookie of the Year and All-American Hunter Aquino to an extra-man goal, an assist and forced him into a pair of turnovers in the overtime win by the Mids.

Marsh, who opened the year by being named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List for a second-consecutive year, continued to be a menace for opposing teams in the transition game, as he closed out the season with 10 points on 5 goals and 5 assists. Along the way, he put together a 7-game point-scoring streak that began with the Mids' Patriot League opener on Feb. 28 against Boston U. and ran through the April 4 win over Holy Cross. With 24-career points (12G, 12A), Marsh became the Mids' all-time leader in points scored by a pole (D/LSM), pushing past Matt Rees who accumulated 19 points (15G, 4A) from 2014-17. Marsh's 12 goals to date are the third most by a Navy pole, while Pat Kiernan (2011-14) is second with 13 and Rees holds the record with 15.

Marsh, who missed the final two games of the season due to injury, was second on the team in caused turnovers with 12 and will head into his senior campaign tied for 11th on Navy's all-time caused turnovers list with 32.
