Navy Squash Earns 2025-26 Academic Dean’s Excellence Award

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - For a second-consecutive year, the Navy squash team earned the Academic Dean's Excellence Award presented annually (since 1995-96) by the Academic Dean and Provost to the varsity team with the highest average QPR over both semesters of an academic year. Navy's 15-player roster combined to post a 3.56 Quality Point Rating (QPR) during the 2025-26 school year.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - For a second-consecutive year, the Navy squash team earned the Academic Dean's Excellence Award presented annually (since 1995-96) by the Academic Dean and Provost to the varsity team with the highest average QPR over both semesters of an academic year. Navy's 15-player roster combined to post a 3.56 Quality Point Rating (QPR) during the 2025-26 school year.

This is the third time (2010-11, 2024-25, 2025-26) the squash team has earned the award and second under head coach

Tyler Osborne.

Led by senior team captain

Alexander Orr (Sr / Haverford, Pa.) and Osborne, the squash team was presented with a plaque for its accomplishment by Naval Academy Academic Dean and Provost Dr. Samara L. Firebaugh at the annual Prizes and Awards ceremony during Commissioning Week.

The award caps off a strong academic performance by the squash team who had several members garner laurels from both the College Squash Association (CSA) and the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference. Orr,

Wenqing Tang (So / Villanova, Pa.),

Avinash Uppuluri (So / Short Hills, N.J.) and

Christian Graziano (Fr / Greenwich, Conn.) were named to the 2025-26 Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference All-Academic Team, while Orr and Kang were recipients of the 2025-26 College Squash Association Scholar-Athlete Award (only juniors and seniors).
