Asaah Sets Discus Record on Day One of Outdoor Heps
PRINCETON, N.J. – Angeludi Asaah captured her first Ivy League Outdoor Heps title in the women's discus on Saturday, needing just three attempts to secure victory and break the school record.

Asaah's balance was put to test as she fought to hold on to her third-round throw of 59.50m (195' 2"). She held onto the lead through the final three rounds, passing on each attempt.
Freshman
Jessica Oji claimed third with a personal-best mark of 55.12m (180' 10"), scoring six points for the Quakers.
Kai Deines finished third in the men's discus recording a personal-best mark of 54.84m (179' 11").
On the track,
Lily Murphy claimed her second 10,000 Ivy League title clocking in a time of 34:32.26. Murphy took over the lead at 5200m mark and continued to pull away from the competition winning by over 15 seconds.
Gabby Jones claimed fifth with a time of 35:51.68.
Thomas Bucks and
Alex Georgiev cleared the bar at 4.98m (16' 4") in the men's pole vault finishing third and fifth, respectively.
Ella Neskora took fourth in the women's hammer with a personal-best throw of 56.29m (184' 8").
Mary Rozier jumped a personal-best distance of 6.13m (20' 1.5") in the women's long jump finishing fifth.
Day Two
The final day of the Ivy League Outdoor Heps is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
