Kotchasanmanee Sits T3 After Day One At NCAA Championships

Thanana Kotchasanmaneehad a round to remember to open the 2026 NCAA Division I Womens Golf Championships. posting a bogey free 69 (-3) to position herself near the top of the leaderboard in a tie for third.
Ranked No. 59 in the country, Kotchasanmanee parred the first three holes before carding a birdie on the par-4 fourth hole. She found her way to par the rest of the way out on the front nine, posting a 35 (-1) over the opening stretch.
The turn saw Kotchasanmanee record one of her two birdies on the back nine with a 4 on the par-5 10th. Five more pars in succession were followed by a birdie on the par-3 16th hole. Pars on 17 and 18 to close her back nine led to the opening 69 and a spot in a 10-player logjam for third one shot behind Oklahoma State's Ellie Bushnell and Stanford's Megha Ganne who are at -4.
Kotchasanmanee will play her second round on May 23 followed by a third round on May 24. At that point, she is looking to be one of nine individuals not among the Top-15 teams to earn a tee time for the fourth and final round in May 25.
