• Babson junior

David Krol (Grafton, Wisc.) will compete in the NCAA Division III Region 3 North/Northeast Diving Championships on Friday and Saturday in New London, Conn.

• Krol qualified for the Regionals for the third year in a row, the first Babson male diver to compete in NCAA post-season diving since Aaron Paradis '10 in 2010.

• Friday, February 27 – Men's 3-Meter (11 Dives, Voluntary 1st), 2 p.m.

• Saturday, February 28 - Men's 1-Meter (11 Dives, Voluntary 1st), 12 p.m.

NCAA REGIONALS HISTORY

• Krol made his first NCAA Regionals appearance in 2024 at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, and placed 14th in the 3-meter event with a score of 395.40 and 11th in 1-meter with a score of 410.75.

• The Babson standout returned to the regionals last winter at Springfield College, and placed eighth on 3-meter with a score of 442.80 points and ninth on 1-meter with a score of 418.35 points.

CONFERENCE SUCCESS

• After missing the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships due to injury as a rookie in 2024, Krol earned his first podium finishes by placing second on 3-meter (493.50) and third on 1-meter (469.50) at the 2025 championships at WPI.

• Krol repeated his podium performances at this year's conference meet last weekend at MIT, placing second on both boards with career-high scores of 514.92 on 3-meter and 487.40 on 1-meter.

RECORD BREAKER

• Krol broke the 6-dive program record on both boards in 2024-25, scoring 342.30 on the 1-meter board to break his own program mark of 321.35, and 348.60 points on 3-meter to surpass the mark of 332.45 by Paradis in 2008.

• Krol scored a career-high 514.92 points on 3-meter at last weekend's NEWMAC Championships, which was less than three points on the four-decades-old program record of 517.75 set by Paul Cuneo '85.

QUALIFYING STANDARDS

• Divers must score at least 280 points on the same board in a dual meet twice during the season to qualify for the regionals.
