LEXINGTON, Va. – Washington and Lee University will host its annual Brookby Family W&L Athletic Awards Ceremony on Monday, May 18, in Holekamp Gymnasium. The event, a celebration of the accomplishments of W&L's student-athletes and athletic teams, will begin at 5:30 p.m.

LEXINGTON, Va. – Washington and Lee University will host its annual Brookby Family W&L Athletic Awards Ceremony on Monday, May 18, in Holekamp Gymnasium. The event, a celebration of the accomplishments of W&L's student-athletes and athletic teams, will begin at 5:30 p.m.

As in previous years, the ceremony will be streamed live at generalssports.com. Viewers can also watch on television by using the W&L Sports Network app on a Roku streaming device.

The department will present 11 major awards during the event, including:

  • Richard Miller Physical Education Scholarship

  • J.L. "Lefty" Newell Memorial Award

  • R.E. "Chub" Yeakel Memorial Service Award

  • Wink Glasgow Spirit and Sportsmanship Award

  • Outstanding First-Year Men's Sport Athlete Award

  • Outstanding First-Year Women's Sport Athlete Award

  • William D. McHenry Men's Sport Scholar-Athlete Award

  • William D. McHenry Women's Sport Scholar-Athlete Award

  • Pres Brown Senior Men's Sport Award

  • Pres Brown Senior Women's Sport Award

  • Athlete of the Year
