Williams College's rowing teams delivered impressive performances at the IRA Championships and NCAA Championships this past week. At the IRA Championships held on May 31, the men's first varsity eight captured a bronze medal, while the second varsity eight clinched gold, contributing to a third-place finish in the overall team standings. Earlier, on May 29, both varsity boats had advanced to the Grand Finals at the NCAA Championships, which were condensed due to weather. The women's second varsity eight finished second in its Grand Final, while the first varsity eight placed fifth overall in the national competition on May 30.
In track and field, the Williams men's team received recognition for its outstanding season, earning three major honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the Division III Mideast Region. These awards, announced on May 29, highlight the team's competitive spirit and individual achievements throughout the season. The Ephs continue to build on their legacy in track and field as they prepare for upcoming competitions, showcasing their commitment to excellence both on the track and in the classroom.
