Six Lehigh wrestlers are set to compete at the U23 Nationals this weekend in Geneva, Ohio, as part of the ongoing freestyle season. This event, held in conjunction with the U20 World Team Trials, will showcase the talents of these Mountain Hawks as they aim for national recognition.
Meanwhile, the men's track and field season came to a close for Wil Jaques and Michael Panagopoulos at the NCAA First Round Meet in Lexington, Kentucky. Jaques, a senior, finished 31st in the javelin with a best throw of 63.17 meters, surpassing his previous mark from the 2024 meet. Panagopoulos completed his debut season with a 36th place finish in the long jump, achieving a best leap of 7.21 meters. Both athletes needed to place in the top 12 to advance to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon next month, but their performances at the Patriot League Championships, where they earned silver medals, highlighted their potential and growth this season.
