The Trinity College men's basketball team capped a remarkable season by reaching the NCAA Division III Semifinals, marking their third consecutive Final Four appearance. After a hard-fought 69-66 victory over Tufts University in the quarterfinals, the Bantams faced a narrow defeat against the University of Mary Washington, falling 64-61. Seniors Henry Vetter and Jarrel Okorougo were recognized with significant national and regional honors, with Vetter earning NABC All-American Second Team and D3hoops.com All-Region First Team accolades. The team finishes with a 29-3 record, one of the best in program history.
In women's swimming, junior Charlotte Murphree represented Trinity at the NCAA Division III National Championships. She placed 21st in the 200-yard breaststroke, improving her seeding in the 100-yard breaststroke to finish 27th. Murphree's performance caps a strong season for the Bantams, showcasing her as a key competitor on the national stage.
The men's lacrosse team faced a challenging matchup against top-ranked Tufts University, ultimately falling 17-11. Despite a late rally and a standout five-goal performance from Jay Ottomanelli, the Bantams could not overcome the Jumbos' early lead. Trinity now holds a 4-3 overall record and looks to rebound in upcoming NESCAC contests.
On the women's basketball front, junior Marlo Simms earned New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) All-Region Fourth Team honors. Simms, the only NESCAC player to average a double-double this season, also received NESCAC All-Conference Second Team recognition, highlighting her significant contributions to the team.
