The women's team, which achieved eight national standards and five first-place finishes at the Invitational, is sending 21 competitors, while the men's team, with seven top performances, is represented by 16 athletes. The competition runs from March 18 to 21, with both teams hoping to add more accolades to their storied program.
The Emory men's basketball team continues its postseason journey as they prepare for an Elite Eight matchup against Illinois Wesleyan in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Eagles secured their spot in this prestigious round with a decisive 101-80 victory over Yeshiva University in the Sweet 16. In women's basketball, freshman Tatum Olson has been recognized as the D3hoops.com Region VI Rookie of the Year, marking a significant individual achievement. Olson, who also earned All-Region Third Team honors, was a standout performer throughout the season. She led the Eagles with an average of 16.1 points per game and became just the 12th player in program history to score over 400 points in a single season. Her impressive shooting accuracy and scoring ability have made her one of the top rookies in Division III, as she continues to build on a promising career.
