Washington University in St. Louis junior Lexy Harris has been named one of the 11 finalists for the 2026 Jostens Trophy, a national award recognizing outstanding Division III basketball players. The Jostens Trophy, awarded by the Rotary Club of Salem, Va., honors athletes for their basketball ability, academic achievements, and community service. Harris has been a key player for the Bears, contributing significantly throughout the season.
The WashU women's basketball team's impressive run in the NCAA Tournament concluded with a Sweet 16 exit against No. 2 Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Despite leading in rebounds and points in the paint, the Bears fell 64-43. Harris led the team with 12 points and seven rebounds, while Amelia Rosin added eight points and eight rebounds. The Bears finished the season with a commendable 21-7 record.
On the men's side, the WashU basketball team also saw their season end in the Sweet 16, losing a closely contested game against No. 3 St. Thomas (TX) 65-63. First-year Theo Rocca led the Bears with 18 points, while sophomore Connor May added 15 points. The Bears wrapped up their season with a 20-8 record, reflecting a strong campaign despite the narrow defeat.
