The Washington and Lee men's basketball team experienced a week of contrasting outcomes as they wrapped up their regular season. On Wednesday, the Generals delivered a commanding performance in their final home game, defeating Bridgewater 79-56. The victory was marked by a cohesive team effort and strong play on both ends of the court.
However, the momentum did not carry into Saturday's matchup against Hampden-Sydney, where the Generals faced a challenging opponent on the road. Despite sophomore Connor Amorosi's impressive 21-point effort, with 13 points scored in the first half, Washington and Lee struggled offensively, ultimately succumbing to a 69-57 defeat. This loss highlighted the team's inconsistency as they prepare for the upcoming postseason.
