Caltech's basketball teams celebrated a landmark week, highlighted by significant victories over the University of La Verne. The men's team, led by forward Dorian Glogovac, secured an 88-85 victory, marking their highest-scoring game against a SCIAC opponent since January 2020. This win not only adds to their conference tally but also sets a new benchmark for the program. Meanwhile, the women's basketball team delivered a defensive masterclass, defeating La Verne 47-41. This victory was powered by a double-double from standout player Goktepe and marked their first conference win of the season. The team also took the opportunity to honor John Dabiri, their faculty liaison, for his unwavering support.
In track and field, both the men's and women's teams opened their spring seasons with promising performances. The men's team achieved several personal bests in their first two meets, signaling a strong start to the 2025-26 season. The women's team also made notable strides at the CMS Outdoor Indoor Distances Meet in Claremont, California, showcasing their potential for the upcoming competitions.
