The University of Rochester men's squash team concluded its regular season with a challenging matchup against the 10th-ranked Cornell University, resulting in a 9-0 defeat at the Lyman Squash Center. Despite the setback on the court, the program celebrated academic success as five athletes were named to the Liberty League's winter All-Academic team, highlighting their dual commitment to athletics and academics.
In women's basketball, the Yellowjackets experienced a mixed weekend on the road. They secured a narrow 57-54 victory over Carnegie Mellon University on Friday, managing to fend off a late comeback attempt by the Tartans at the Highmark Center. However, their momentum was halted on Sunday with a 63-50 loss to Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, where offensive struggles proved costly.
The men's basketball team also faced challenges, falling to Carnegie Mellon by a score of 79-63. The loss in Pittsburgh marked a tough outing for the Yellowjackets in their UAA matchup.
The women's swimming and diving team participated in the Spartan Last Chance Invitational at Case Western Reserve University. Over the weekend, four Rochester swimmers made their final regular season appearances, competing in the Veale Natatorium. The event marked the conclusion of their competitive season as they look ahead to future opportunities.
