MG King delivered a standout performance for Colgate at the Patriot League Swimming and Diving Championships, capturing the 200-yard backstroke title on the final day of competition. This victory, Colgate's first gold medal since 2013, was a highlight in a week that saw the Raiders' women's team finish seventh overall. The event, held at Navy's Lejeune Hall, featured strong performances from both the men's and women's squads, including multiple A-final appearances and a fourth-place relay finish.
The women's basketball team faced a challenging week, falling in two close contests. On Thursday, Colgate mounted a valiant comeback against Boston University, erasing a 16-point deficit with a 40-point second half to force overtime. However, the Terriers prevailed in the extra period, winning 77-70. The Raiders then traveled to Loyola on Sunday, where they were outpaced by the Greyhounds in a 58-49 defeat, despite competitive play throughout the game. These results leave the Raiders looking to regroup as they approach the final stretch of their season.
