Owen White of the Middlebury men's swimming and diving team has been named the NESCAC Career High-Point Diver, joining Middlebury Athletics Hall of Famer Derek Chicarilli as the second diver in program history to receive this accolade. White advanced to the finals in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events at the NESCAC Championship, hosted by Colby, securing sixth place in each with scores of 380.40 and 397.70, respectively. His performance helped Middlebury finish eighth at the conference meet, tallying 702 points. The team now awaits the NCAA selections, which will be announced on March 2.
The Middlebury men's squash team, ranked 17th nationally, heads into the Collegiate Squash Association (CSA) Divisional Team Championships as the fifth seed in the Hoehn Cup (B draw). They will face 16th-ranked and fourth-seeded Navy in the quarterfinals on Friday at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia. Meanwhile, the women's squash team, ranked 13th, has secured the top seed in the Kurtz Cup. They are set to compete against 20th-ranked and eighth-seeded Denison in their quarterfinal matchup on Friday.
In men's ice hockey, Middlebury has earned the fourth seed in the NESCAC Tournament and will host fifth-seeded Wesleyan in the quarterfinals at Chip Kenyon '85 Arena on Saturday. The Panthers look to capitalize on their home-ice advantage as they aim to advance deeper into the postseason.
