Bucknell women's swimming and diving team made a notable impact at the 2026 Patriot League Championships in Annapolis, Maryland. Junior Kelly Byrne emerged as a standout performer, earning the title of Bison of the Week following her impressive haul of a gold medal in the 400 IM and a bronze in the 1650 freestyle. Byrne's gold medal swim in the 400 IM, clocking in at 4:16.24, ranks as the second-fastest time in Bucknell history. Her performance contributed to the team's overall success, which included a third-place finish, four medals, and the setting of two school records. Joining Byrne in the accolades, Clara Renner, Sydney Dettmann, and Tori Castro were also named to the All-Patriot League teams, with Byrne and Renner securing spots on the First Team.
In women's basketball, Bucknell prepares to host Lehigh at Sojka Pavilion on February 28th, in a crucial matchup as part of their two-game homestand to conclude the regular season. Currently tied for sixth place in the Patriot League standings with Lafayette, the Bison are looking to rebound from a previous 74-43 defeat to Lehigh earlier this season. This game marks the 104th meeting between the two teams, with Bucknell holding a narrow 52-51 lead in the series. The outcome will be pivotal as the Bison aim to secure a favorable position heading into the conference tournament.
