For the first time in program history, the Washington University in St. Louis softball coaching staff has been named the 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III Region VIII Coaching Staff of the Year. This recognition highlights their significant contributions to a successful season, marking a milestone for the program.
In baseball, graduate pitcher Chase Brickley continues to garner accolades following a strong season, being named a D3baseball.com All-American. This honor adds to the recognition of the No. 16/18 Washington University baseball team, which has made notable strides in the competitive landscape of Division III baseball.
The Washington University women's track and field team, ranked No. 2, celebrated a successful campaign at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, finishing as the national runner-up. Ten members of the team earned USTFCCCA All-American honors for their outstanding performances during the championships. Meanwhile, the men's track and field team, ranked No. 14, also saw success, with four athletes receiving USTFCCCA All-American status for their contributions at the same national event. These achievements reflect the depth of talent within the program and the commitment to excellence across both teams.
Looking ahead, the accolades for both track and field teams and the baseball program are expected to continue as they prepare for future competitions and seasons.
