In rowing, the Cornell men's heavyweight team prepares for the IRA National Championship at Lake Natoma in California, set to begin on May 29. The team has qualified four entries across various events, including the 1V8+, 2V8+, 3V8+, and 1V4+. The Big Red will face strong competition, with the 1V8+ heat featuring teams like Princeton and Stanford. The Cornell outdoor track and field team is also in action, sending seven athletes to the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field East First Round from May 27 to 30 at the University of Kentucky. In men's hockey, rising senior forward Ryan Walsh has been named team captain for the 2026-27 season, marking his second consecutive year in this leadership role.
