This victory marks a historic achievement as the Jumbos become the first team in program history to win three consecutive national titles.
In women's lacrosse, the Jumbos faced a heartbreaking defeat in the NCAA semifinals on May 22, falling 10-9 in overtime to top-ranked Middlebury College. After trailing 8-1 in the first half, Tufts mounted a valiant comeback to force extra time but ultimately could not secure the victory. The team also celebrated individual accolades, with three players named to the IWLCA All-American list, including two on the First Team. Senior Nicola Donlan received the NCAA Elite Scholar-Athlete Award for her academic and athletic achievements.
The Tufts men's track and field team had a notable presence at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships, with senior Quinn Hampson finishing fifth in the 1500 meters on May 23. Earlier in the week, junior Harris Gulbransen earned a second-team All-American accolade, while five women from the team, including Lauren Zipoli and the 4x100-meter relay squad, received second-team All-American honors. Sophomores Arielle Chechile and Elysse Cumberland both secured fourth-place finishes on the final day of competition.
The Tufts men's tennis season concluded on May 23 at the NCAA Individual Championships, where the team faced defeats that ended their campaign. Meanwhile, freshman shortstop Paige Murphy was recognized as a finalist for the NFCA National Freshman of the Year Award, highlighting her impressive debut season in softball.
