The Middlebury women's lacrosse team continues its impressive postseason run, edging fourth-ranked Tufts 10-9 in an overtime thriller during the NCAA semifinals on May 22. Caroline Adams scored the decisive goal just over a minute into the extra period, propelling the Panthers to the championship match. The team will face the winner of the other semifinal on June 4.
In men's lacrosse, four members of the Middlebury squad received recognition as New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) All-Region selections. Drew Dummer was named to the second team, while Noah Filippelli and Hayden Kern earned third-team honors. Ryan McGloin received an honorable mention, highlighting the team's strong individual performances this season.
The Middlebury women's golf team finished ninth at the NCAA Championship, concluding their season with a total score of 1,196 after a final round of 303 on May 22. The Panthers, ranked #10 nationally, improved their standing throughout the tournament, climbing to fifth place before settling in ninth. Emory University claimed the national title with a score of 1,154.
In tennis, the Middlebury women's team saw its season come to an end at the NCAA Individual Championships, where Elsie Van Wieren advanced to the quarterfinals but ultimately fell short. The #12-ranked women's squad concluded their campaign on May 23. Meanwhile, Julian Wu of the #19 men's tennis team reached the second round of the NCAA Individual Championships in Chattanooga, Tennessee, before his season concluded.
The Middlebury men's track and field team wrapped up their season at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in La Crosse, Wisconsin, showcasing strong efforts throughout the competition. Claire Palmer represented the women's team in the 5,000-meter run on the final day, contributing to a commendable showing at the national meet. The Panthers will look to build on this season's successes as they prepare for the next athletic year.
