The Harvard men's golf team capped a historic season with a tied-for-eighth finish at the NCAA Athens Regional, marking the program's best performance at this stage. Led by Barry Zhang, who posted a tournament score of 202 (-11), the Crimson achieved a team score of 843 (-9), shattering the previous NCAA Regional scoring record by 56 shots. Despite finishing just 10 shots shy of qualifying for the NCAA National Championship, Harvard outperformed two top-50 teams, including No. 12 Illinois and No. 37 Kansas, showcasing a strong competitive spirit throughout the tournament.
In women's water polo, Harvard made headlines by placing a program-record four student-athletes on the All-America Team, as announced by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC). This recognition underscores the team's growth and success over the season, highlighting the contributions of its standout players.
The Harvard women's heavyweight rowing team celebrated the selection of two athletes to the All-Ivy League Team. Lindsey Brail earned first-team honors, while Jenna Kempster-Taylor was named to the second team. Both rowers played pivotal roles in leading the varsity eight to the grand final at the Ivy League Championship, solidifying their status among the league's elite.
Harvard sailing concluded its season with a seventh-place finish at the ICSA Open Fleet Race Nationals, a competitive event held in St. Petersburg, Florida. The team advanced to the finals after winning the Eastern Semifinal with a score of 52, showcasing impressive performances from sailors like Justin Callahan and Jacob Posner. Kate Danielson also received the Florida Women's Sailing Association Young Woman Sailor of the Year Award, further highlighting the team's achievements this season.
Meanwhile, 29 members of the Harvard track and field team qualified for the NCAA East Region First Round, set to take place in Lexington, Kentucky from May 27 to May 30. This strong representation reflects the depth and talent of the Crimson athletes as they prepare for this critical competition.
